Shipping Policy

Where is my order shipping from?

Desert Drifter is located on a cattle property rurally south of Quinalow in southern Queensland. Due to the studio's rural location orders are shipped out three times weekly - Monday, Wednesday and Friday mornings (excluding public holidays)

E.g. You order is placed Monday it will leave in Wednesdays mail.  Your order is placed Friday it will leave in Mondays mail, if it is not public holiday.

Your tracking will be emailed - please check you inbox and junk/spam folder.

How is my order packaged?

Your order will be packaged in exclusive custom designed Desert Drifter packaging.  Either a velvet draw string bag or box depending on the item purchased.  Your item will be then wrapped with custom Desert Drifter tissue paper and be packaged in a mailing box.  This packaging service is complimentary.  No packing slips or invoices are included with your order to assist with the reduction of waste.

How long will my order take to arrive?

Domestic orders: Australia Post for regular speed is 5+ business days and for express service is 2+ business days

International orders: 4 + weeks for regular speed and 2 + weeks for express. 

Please be mindful of public holidays,  delays during peak times and COVID logistics issues.  Desert Drifter takes no responsibility for transit delays.

Please note that if you choose a 'express' option of shipping this will increase the speed of your delivery with Australia Post - It will not bring forward the mail out day.  

My order is delayed, lost, stolen or damaged?

Please double check your shipping address prior to submitting your order. Desert Drifter accepts no liability for information that is entered incorrectly.   No changes are able to be made to your delivery address once you have processed your order.

All orders are shipped with full tracking - this is not insurance.  A option to add insurance with Australia post is available as a shipping method and in encouraged if in the possible event you have issues with Australia Post.

Your insurance will be to the value of your order not including additional shipping costs for express/insurance. 

Once your order has been thoughtfully packed up ready for shipping - your tracking information is provided via email - please check your junk email folder as on occasion tracking emails go there.  All domestically items are shipped through Australia Post.  Once items are in possession/scanned by Australia Post, Desert Drifter takes no responsibility for lost, damaged, stolen or delayed orders.  

We STRONGLY encourage you to purchase shipping insurance option at checkout. 

Holding insurance with your order provides as extra level of peice of mind with your delivery and a avenue to make a claim directly with your postal carrier should the need arrive.
In the event of needing to file a claim with your postage carrier, have your tracking on hand and please head to.  The process of filing of claim is your responsibility.

Domestic orders - Australia Post - File a claim 

Any lost, delayed, damaged, or stolen packages that are not insured are not Desert Drifters responsibility. 

Returns

Returns are available for credit or exchange where possible.

A return request must be initialed via email hello@desertdrifter.com.au with Desert Drifter within 48 HOURS of your order tracking being marked as DELIVERED with the mail carrier - no exceptions.  

A return initiated via email to Desert Drifter within the agreed above period will be accepted for the following reasons:

  • Wrong size
  • Broken gems on arrival

Your return will not be accepted outside of these reasons.  The return must be received back by Desert Drifter within 14 days of your return being approved via email.  If returning for wrong size - the return items will be examined on arrival for any signs of being worn, breakages etc.

Proof of lodgement and tracking number is required to ensure you return meets the above conditions and will be accepted.

Any returns or issues reported outside of the 48 hours from marked 'delivered' are void and Desert Drifter is unable to assist further.

Items purchased on sale or with the use of a discount code are strictly non refundable - all sale and discounted items are final.  

To assist you in making the correct purchase - We will happily send additional photographs, a video, or a face time try-on so you may examine your choices before purchasing -  please reach out via email.

By purchasing a item from this website you are agreeing to these terms,  conditions and release Desert Drifter from any compensation from lost, damaged, stolen, missing or delayed shipments.
