Where is my order shipping from?

Desert Drifter is located rurally west of a little town called Nanango, Queensland, Australia. The studio ships out three times weekly - Monday, Wednesday and Friday (excluding public holidays and selected shutdown breaks e.g. Christmas/New Year).

E.g. You order is placed Monday it will leave in Wednesdays mail.  Your order is placed Friday it will leave in Mondays mail - excluding public holidays.

Your tracking will be emailed - please check your inbox and junk/spam folder.

How is my order packaged?

Your order will be packaged in exclusive custom designed Desert Drifter packaging.  Either a velvet draw string bag or box depending on the item purchased.  

Your item will be then wrapped with custom Desert Drifter tissue paper and be packaged in a mailing box.  This packaging service is complimentary  

How long will my order take to arrive?

Domestic orders: 5+ business days for regular speed and 2+ business days for express.

International orders: 14+ days for regular speed and 5 + days for express.

Please be mindful of public holidays,  delays during peak times and logistical issues outside of our control.

Please note that if you choose a 'express' option of shipping this will increase the speed of your delivery with your carrier - It will not bring forward the mail out day.

Free shipping?

Yes, complimentary standard shipping is available within Australia, USA, NZ and Canada for orders over $200. 

My order is delayed, lost, stolen or damaged?

Please double check your shipping address prior to submitting your order.  Desert Drifter accepts no liability for information that is entered incorrectly.   No changes are able to be made to your delivery address once you have processed your order.

All orders are shipped with full tracking - this is not insurance.  A option to add insurance with the postal carrier is available at checkout and in encouraged if in the possible event you have issues with your carrier.

Insurance is to the value of your order not including additional shipping costs for express/insurance. 

Once items are in possession/scanned by the mail carrier,  Desert Drifter takes no responsibility for lost, damaged, stolen or delayed orders.  

All domestic items are shipped through Australia Post.

We encourage you to purchase shipping insurance option at checkout. 

Holding insurance with your carrier provides as extra level of peice of mind with your delivery and an avenue to make a claim directly with your carrier should the need arise.
The process of filing of claim to the carrier is your responsibility.

If in the unfortunate event your item arrives to you and is the incorrect size - Please follow the below steps

A return request must be initiated to customer service via email hello@desertdrifter.com.au within 7 days of your order tracking being marked as DELIVERED with the mail carrier - no exceptions.  

After we receive your return enquiry email you will be replied to on how to proceed with your return.

Return your item in a brand new condition in the same packaging we shipped to you within 7 days of its arrival and we will refund or exchange your order if it is not a clearance or final sale item. 

Your order may not be eligible for return or exchange if the product

  • Has visible wear or damage.
  • Is not in the original package
  • Is not a sale item or item purchased with discount code
  • Is not earrings

Important Note: Returns can take several weeks to process as your item(s) must be shipped back to our warehouse to be inspected and approved. Please be patient as your refund will not be processed until it is inspected and approved at our studio.

Once the return is received and inspected, customer service will email to notify you if your return has been accepted or not. Items that are returned with signs of wear will not be accepted and immediately returned at the expense of the customer. 

All return approvals remain at the discretion of Desert Drifter

Shipping charges are payable by the customer.  Proof of lodgement and tracking number is required to ensure your return meets the above conditions and will be accepted.

Any return or exchange request reported outside of the 7 days from marked 'delivered' are void and Desert Drifter is unable to assist further.

Any item purchased on sale or with the use of a discount code are strictly non refundable, non returnable - all sale and discounted items are final and void of any conditions listed above

For hygienic reasons earrings are void of this return policy

A handling fee of $10.00 AUD will be applied to all returns for refund. These charges do not apply to exchanges.

By purchasing an item from this website you are agreeing to these terms, conditions and release Desert Drifter from any compensation from lost, stolen, missing, delayed shipments.
